Amir Zouaoui is a Research Associate at the Energy for Growth Hub, where he focuses on development finance and capital markets for African energy. He is leading the Hub’s proposal on innovative early-stage energy infrastructure support, and contributes to research on GCC capital flows to Africa and energy’s role in supporting mining, industrialization, and economic development across the continent. Before joining the Hub, Amir was a Fulbright Scholar at Rice University, earning a Master’s in Global Affairs and conducting research on energy policy and geopolitics across the Middle East and North Africa. Previously, Amir worked in supply chain risk management at Renault Group in Paris and managed a commercial profit-and-loss portfolio at Cevital, Algeria’s largest private-sector conglomerate. Amir also holds an MSc in Consulting and Logistics from Aix-Marseille Université, and an engineering degree from the National School of Advanced Technologies in Algiers.
