The U.S. has a growing interest in shoring up the energy security of vital allies. But its capacity to deliver on energy investment at scale is hamstrung by a combination of structural and sectoral challenges — making it exceedingly difficult to follow through on high-profile commitments. The Hub is workshopping a concept we’re calling ‘Energy Security Compacts,’ a mechanism that builds on the lessons learned from MCC, Power Africa, and PGI to ensure we can respond quickly, efficiently, and effectively to global energy security concerns.
