Energy for Growth Hub

Job Opportunity: Bridge Fellowship on Energy/Development Compacts (1-Year)

Do you have a big idea for how to tackle global energy poverty more effectively, but have never had the time to build it into something real? Are there important lessons you learned while working on development compacts that should help shape future US foreign assistance or energy investment?

The Energy for Growth Hub seeks an enterprising, creative analyst or policymaker with expertise in the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s model to advance our work on global energy poverty, international energy finance, US development and investment strategy, and related geopolitics. This individual will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of original research and analysis on topic(s) of their choosing, such as the links between energy and economic growth, how to assess sector constraints, how to design and deliver effective packages of energy sector investments, or the global implications of ongoing shifts in development and climate policy. We especially welcome applications from former staffers who have recently lost their positions at MCC or affiliated organizations. The position is full-time for up to 12 months, providing the individual with a chance to synthesize lessons or tackle big ideas from their time in government, apply their policy and technical expertise in new ways and for new audiences, and collaborate with the Hub’s global network of researchers and practitioners.

  • Strong preference for recent experience working at MCC or for an affiliated organization or contractor
  • Ideas to change, improve, or strengthen U.S. international energy policy
