Davida Wood, an Advisor to the Energy for Growth Hub, previously led the Energy for Development practice at the World Resources Institute and managed WRI’s Electricity Governance Initiative. Her work focuses on public interests, demand-side economics, and bottom-up data initiatives. These perspectives inform her interest in the nexus of electricity and the development sectors. She is a co-founder of the Energy Access Explorer, a dynamic information platform providing spatially explicit data on demand and supply at national and subnational levels. Her recent publications include A New Nexus Approach to Powering Development and she is a contributor to the Global Assessment of the Electrification of Health Care Facilities for the World Health Organization. Davida holds a PhD in Anthropology from Princeton University and a BA from UC Berkeley.
