
Lauren Gilbert is a Fellow at the Energy for Growth Hub. Lauren Gilbert is the Horizon Scanning Study Group Programme Manager at Renaissance Philanthropy. She is also a senior researcher at UK Day One and a fellow at Roots of Progress. Before joining Renaissance Philanthropy, she was a research fellow at Open Philanthropy, where she investigated new cause areas for Open Philanthropy grantmaking. She has also been a writer for Quite Interesting (the British TV show), a VR researcher at Ericsson, and an astrophysicist at UC San Diego. She holds an MA in political science and an MS in physics from UC San Diego, and a BS in physics from Caltech.
