Dr. Olly Norojono is an advisor for the PPA Watch initiative and an independent consultant in energy, transport, project planning and financing, and portfolio management. Previously, he worked for Asian Development Bank (ADB) from 2002 – 2021 as Director of the Energy Division, Pacific Department. Prior to that, Dr. Norojono was Director of Transport, Energy, and Natural Resources Division, Pacific Department and Country Director for Azerbaijan. He handled ADB-financed projects and technical assistance for Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and the Philippines as a senior transport economist.
Before joining ADB, he taught at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Indonesia and conducted research and consultancy services in the transport sector. Dr. Norojono holds a PhD in economics from UGM; MS in transport planning and engineering from IHE-TU Delft, the Netherlands; and a civil engineering degree from UGM.
