Distributed sensing, satellite imagery, and artificial intelligence could help but are currently underexploited.
Relevance
Inefficient investments in infrastructure are common due to poor information. Modern data-collection and information technology can assist policymakers to more quickly and efficiently deliver flexible, responsive energy systems.
