Jay Taneja is a Fellow at the Energy for Growth Hub. He is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he directs the Systems Towards Infrastructure Measurement and Analytics (STIMA) Lab. Jay previously worked at the IBM Research – Africa Lab in Nairobi, where he founded and led a team of researchers focusing on using analytics and mobile systems to improve electricity reliability and access. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
